Strikes

The Strikes tab is your strike phase command center. It shows the active panel, removed jurors, and seated jurors in three separate tables, and lets you record peremptory challenges and cause challenges as decisions are made.

Panel status at a glance

The top of the Strikes page shows usage bars for:

  • Prosecution peremptories used / available
  • Defense peremptories used / available
  • Jury Seated — how many jurors have been seated vs. the configured jury size (including alternates)

The Jury Seated bar is green and distinct from the strike bars. The ✓ Seat button is automatically disabled once the jury is full, preventing accidental over-seating.

The three tables

Active Panel
Jurors currently in the pool — not yet struck or seated. Each row shows the juror's seat number, name, favorability indicators, and a ▼ Details toggle.
Removed
Jurors struck by either side or excused for cause. Includes who struck them and when.
Seated Jury
Jurors who have been qualified and seated, in order of seating.

Recording a decision

For each juror in the Active Panel:

  • ✓ Seat — moves the juror to the Seated Jury table and counts toward the jury total
  • Strike (Pros) — records a prosecution peremptory; decrements the prosecution counter
  • Strike (Def) — records a defense peremptory; decrements the defense counter
  • Cause — excuses the juror for cause; does not consume a peremptory

All actions are logged in your mutation history and can be reviewed in the Time Travel view.

Juror detail panel

Click ▼ Details on any row to expand an inline panel showing the complete intelligence picture for that juror without navigating away:

  • Favorability — each reviewer's rating (👍/👎) with name and color attribution
  • Notes — all general notes from all contributors, attributed by user
  • Flags — manually flagged answers and auto-flagged answers (with their triggering rule), plus any dismissals recorded in the By Juror view
  • Question Comments — per-question notes entered in All Responses or By Juror

This lets you compare multiple jurors side-by-side during the strike phase without leaving the table.

Favorability column

Each juror row in the Active Panel displays a Favorability column with icons from all reviewers:

  • 👍 shown if at least one reviewer rated Favorable; count shown if more than one
  • 👎 shown if at least one reviewer rated Unfavorable; count shown if more than one
  • No icon shown if no reviewer has rated in that direction (neutral ratings do not display)

This gives your team a fast read on panel sentiment without switching views.

Favorability and Details are hidden in Privacy Mode

When Privacy Mode is active, the Favorability column and all expandable detail panels are hidden. Only juror names and neutral status information remain visible. See Privacy Mode.
